The
W.P.A.V. (Wheeled Paintball Armored Vehicle) is a person propelled
tank that rolls on wheels with front steering. The W.P.A.V. is designed
for moderate terrian. Some models offer more passengers while others
are just one person tanks. The tank is a more versitile paintball
tank than other configurations because the body is a exchangable
shell. The body parts can mostly be bought at your local home improvement
store so broken parts can easily be replaced. W.P.A.V.'s look more
like real tanks than other designs that must conform to the shapes
of the vehicles used.
2.
Where can I get a W.P.A.V.?
- Right
here on this site. Goto Order
and
fill out a pre order form and pay the commitment purchase ($50) to get
the order underway. Tanks take from 2 to 3 weeks to make. Shipping is
done under a verbal agreement, of a meeting place, a drop off or to
pick up at the company location.
3.
How much does a W.P.A.V. cost?
- Generally
about $500. Special orders may include more charges (law rockets, special
paintjob, working lights and set up. Also since TSP must make trial W.P.A.V.'s
some may also be for sale at a discounted used price. Most of those
may range from $280 to $375. Ask if any used W.P.A.V.'s are available
via email .
4.
What about insurance?
- The
W.P.A.V. is also safer than other motorized paintball tanks and is insurance
friendly. The tank is enviromentally safe, with no emmisions, no flat
tires, no gas needed, no engine troubles. W.P.A.V.'s
cost less to make and maintain and don't require annual insurance costs
(which can cost as much as $1000).UUnless
a insurance company is being ridiculous, a tank like this wouldn't require
any insurance. This allows anyone to use the tank. If a paintball would
like it's own tank for others to use without insuring everyone, the
W.P.A.V. is the way to go.
5.What
does a standard W.P.A.V. model include?
- They
include removable wheels. If AML or tanklike, most will have a swivilling
turret with a cosmetic cannon. All include gun ports and Law ports.
Some models include 6v lights (does not include hook up or battery,
but instructions on how to hook lights up). Dismantling, traveling ,
use, and maintenance instructions.
6.
What is a W.P.A.V. made of?
- Thick
Corregated plastic. sturdy home made wheels, or store bought spoked
wheels. bolts, nuts, conduit, foam, steel mesh material, and paintball
netting.
